This was the first meeting of the Innovation Huddles, a six-month program for small business owners funded by a MeshPoints / Spacecubed / Lottery West grant. Liz Haselgrove, founder and CEO of Business One Stop Shop (BOSS), welcomed 17 participants and introduced the private online directory where recordings and resources would be stored.

The group went around introducing themselves, representing diverse businesses including training, therapy, coffee shops, CRM implementation, home care, accounting, and pet services.

They discussed future expert speakers for monthly sessions, with Indigo Grace scheduled for September to cover stress management and breathing exercises, and Vicky planned before Christmas to discuss entrepreneurial mindset. Participants shared feedback on desired topics including time management systems for service-based businesses, event marketing strategies, brand awareness, partnership formation, and NDIS marketing strategies.

The main business review focused on Claire's perinatal support business, where participants provided website feedback suggesting a shift from modality-focused to results-focused messaging, with recommendations to highlight benefits, add testimonials, and clarify the "matrescence" concept in the header.
