This practical workshop is designed for small business owners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who want to better understand common Australian business practices. You’ll explore communication styles and relationship building while developing practical strategies to navigate cultural differences with confidence.
Through real world examples and interactive activities, you’ll walk away with the skills and confidence to communicate effectively and adapt to the Australian business environment.

About the Presenter - Theresa D’Embden
Originally from Zambia, Theresa D’Emden, MBA, MHRM is a People & Culture leader, educator, and community advocate based in Perth.
She is a Lecturer at North Metropolitan TAFE and Managing Director of All Star Healthcare, an NDIS-registered provider delivering person-centred, culturally responsive disability services.
Theresa is also Co-Founder of the African Language Academy Australia, supporting cultural preservation and education within the African diaspora, and is passionate about building inclusive communities and workforce capability.
