The Huddles are small, supportive online groups for micro and solo entrepreneurs who want to connect with other founders, share ideas and challenges, build confidence, and strengthen their wellbeing.
Each month you'll have the opportunity to talk with other business owners who understand what it's like to build a business, learn from experienced guest speakers, and discover practical tools and support available to you.
-
The Huddles are designed for founders and business owners from underrepresented groups, including women, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) business owners, Aboriginal business owners and regional entrepreneurs.
You'll need to be actively running a business or venture and be committed to participating throughout the program.
-
No. The Huddles are designed specifically with micro and solo entrepreneurs in mind. You don't need to be building the next unicorn! Whether you're in the early stages of your business or have been operating for a while, the focus is on helping you build a stronger, more sustainable business while having a supportive community around you.
-
Each Huddle is an informal, facilitated one-hour online session. Sessions include a wellbeing check-in, founder conversations, peer problem-solving, idea sharing and practical learning.
The combined Huddle each month will also feature a guest expert who will share practical knowledge, tools or insights relevant to running a business.
-
There are three Huddles each month:
• One for metropolitan founders
• One for regional founders
• One combined Huddle bringing both groups together, with a guest expertThe Huddles run online and each session lasts approximately one hour.
-
That's okay! All Huddles are recorded (with confidentiality protected) and the recording will be available in the private member area shortly after the session finishes, so you can catch up when it suits you.
We do encourage you to attend as regularly as possible, though, because the real magic of the Huddles comes from getting to know the other founders and building those trusted relationships over time.
-
Yes. Sessions are recorded so participants can catch up if they are unable to attend. Recordings are stored securely in the private member area and are only available to Huddle participants.
Because the Huddles are designed to be a safe and trusted space, participants will be reminded not to share confidential or sensitive information about themselves, their clients or their businesses during recorded sessions.
-
You won't be put on the spot! We want the Huddles to be welcoming and supportive, not another place where you have to perform.
You'll have opportunities to contribute, ask questions and share experiences, but you can choose how much you participate in each session. As you become more comfortable with the group, we hope you'll find it increasingly valuable to share and connect.
-
No. The Huddles include wellbeing check-ins because looking after yourself is an important part of running a business, but you are never required to disclose anything you don't want to share.
The aim is to create a supportive environment where you can talk openly if you choose to.
-
Participants will have access to a private section of the BOSS website containing session recordings, resources, templates, practical tools and other materials shared during the program.
You'll also have the opportunity to stay connected with the other participants between sessions.
-
The Huddles aren't a replacement for individual business advice, coaching, counselling or professional services.
Instead, they provide something different: a trusted peer community where founders can share experiences, learn from one another, access practical information and discover other sources of support when more specialised assistance is needed.
-
That's exactly the point!
Many micro and solo business owners spend much of their working week making decisions on their own. The Huddles are designed to help you build genuine connections with other founders who understand the ups, downs and occasional "what on earth am I doing?" moments of running a business.
We’d love to hear from you! If you have any feedback, would like to request a subject for discussion, or ask for advice at your next Huddle, please fill out this form.
